Journal Templates Detail Schedule Sub-Tab

The Schedule sub-tab provides a timeline of all scheduled entries generated for a journal template. The schedule is automatically created based on the template's Count and Interval settings.
This tab contains a read-only grid showing:
  • Journals that have already been processed
  • The next journal due for processing
  • Future scheduled journals
To help identify each entry's status, the grid uses colour coding:
  • Yellow = Journal has already been processed
  • Red = Next journal due for processing
  • No highlight = Future journal that has not yet been processed

Schedule Grid

The grid displays key information about each scheduled journal entry.

Itv Index

Displays the iteration number within the schedule.
This identifies the position of the journal entry in the recurring sequence.

Process Date

Displays the date on which the journal is scheduled to be processed.

Status

Shows the current status of the scheduled journal entry.
The status indicates whether the journal:
  • Has already been processed
  • Is the next journal due for processing
  • Is scheduled for a future date
  • Has been skipped
Note:
Processed journals are highlighted in yellow, while the next journal due for processing is highlighted in red.

User

Displays the user who created the journal schedule.

Journal ID

If the journal has been processed, this column displays the associated journal ID.

Context Menu Options

Right-click within the grid to access additional options.

Set Item as NOT Applied (Reprocess)

Marks the selected schedule entry as not processed.
This allows the journal to be processed again if required.
If the entry becomes the next journal due for processing, its row will be highlighted in red.
Important: Any journals that have already been created from this schedule entry must be deleted manually. This option does not remove existing journals.

Set Item as Skipped (Don't Process)

Marks the selected schedule entry as Skipped.
This allows you to bypass a scheduled journal without processing it. Once skipped, the next available journal in the schedule becomes due for processing.

Apply Value Range

Apply the same value to all selected rows within the current column.
This is useful when updating multiple schedule entries at the same time.

Clear Selection

Removes the current selection from the grid.
This can be useful when working with multiple scheduled entries and you want to start a new selection.

Tips

  • Review the schedule regularly to ensure journals are processed when expected.
  • Use the colour coding to quickly identify processed and outstanding entries.
  • If a journal has been created in error, mark the schedule entry as NOT Applied and manually remove the previously created journal before reprocessing.
  • Use the Skipped option carefully, as skipped schedule entries will not be processed unless they are manually reset.
