- Use the filters at the top of the screen to locate the required sales order.
- Double-click the sales order to open it.
- Press Alt + E or click Edit to enter edit mode.Note: If the order is in a non-editable stage of the Sales Invoice Manager, the following message will be displayed:"The Sales Order has an invoice which is in a non-editable section"To make changes, the sales order must first be moved into an editable stage.
- Open the Sales Orders | Main tab.

Before a Sales Source can be assigned to a sales order, it must be created in System Data. For guidance, see How To: Create a Sales Source.
Make Sales Sources Mandatory
You can require users to select a Sales Source on every sales order by enabling the Sales Source Required option in System Operations | Edit System Values | Order Display.
For more information, see the Sales Source Required setting.
Tips
- Review the Sales Source before saving a new sales order to ensure reporting remains accurate.
- If you cannot edit the order, check its current stage in the Sales Invoice Manager.
- Updating the Sales Source only changes the selected sales order and does not affect other orders for the customer.
