Introduction

The Journal Templates screen allows you to create, manage and process reusable journal templates. This can save time when posting recurring journals such as rent, utility bills, depreciation or other regular accounting transactions.
There are several ways to open the Journal Templates screen.

Option 1: Using the Command Window

  1. Open the Command Window.
  2. Type:
    jt
  3. Press Enter.
The Journal Templates screen will open.

Option 2: Using the Window List

  1. Open the Window List.
  2. Select Journal Templates from the list of available screens.
The Journal Templates screen will open.

Option 3: From the Accounts Screen

  1. Open an Accounts screen (show me how).
  2. Open the Nominal Accounts screen.
  3. Right-click within the Journal Grid.
  4. Select Open Journal Templates from the context menu.
The Journal Templates screen will open.

Result

You can now access and manage your journal templates, including creating new templates, editing existing ones and processing recurring journals.
