How To: Change Currency



The user must have the 'HQ' User Permission to change the Customer or Suppliers Currency.

WARNING: You can only change a customer's currency if they have NO transactions against them.

  1. Open a Customer screen (show me how).
  2. Load the required customer record.
  3. Press Alt+E or click the green triangle icon is the buttonbar's EDIT button to enter edit mode.
  4. Open the [ Detail | Financial ] tab.
  5. In the General section select the new currency in the 'Currency' dropdown menu.
    Note: Attempting to select a new currency from the 'Currency' drop-down list for a customer with financial transactions recorded on the system will result in the following error message:
    "There are transactions recorded against this company record. Cannot change currency." It is recommended that if the user wishes to amend a customer's currency, they should create a new customer record.
