How To: Add UDAs to customer records en masse

User Defined Attributes (UDAs) can be updated for multiple customers at the same time. This is useful when you need to apply the same attribute value to a group of customer records without updating each customer individually.

Before You Start

Use filters to identify the customers you want to update. Any changes made through this process will be applied to all selected customers.

Update Customer UDAs in Bulk

Open a Customer screen (show me how).
Filter the customer list to display the customers you want to update.
Green-select the required customers.
Right-click the selected records and choose Update Selected Companies' UDAs from the shortcut menu.
Click the UDA you want to update in the grid.
Select the required value from the options shown on the right-hand side.
Note: The available options depend on how the UDA has been configured.
- A List UDA may provide multiple check boxes that can be selected.
- A Choice UDA typically provides a drop-down list where only one option can be selected.
Click OK to apply the changes.

Result

The selected UDA values will be updated for all highlighted customer records.

Additional Information

Note: If a UDA filter was applied before the update was made, the customer list may not immediately reflect the new values. Refresh or reload the screen to display the updated information.
