How To: Create an EPOS User
Creating an EPOS User
- Open a System Data screen .
- Double-click on
[ Others | Users ]
. - Press Alt+E or click to enter edit mode.
- Press F3 or click to add a new item.
- Enter the following details:
- An appropriate User name.
- The required Sales Source. For more information please see How To: Create and Apply a EPOS Sales Source to the EPOS Customer.
- Press Ctrl+S or click to save.
Add User Permissions
- Focus on the EPOS user created above.
- Right-click and select User Permissions from the Context Menu.
- Set the following permissions as required:
- Supplier:
- Tick the Open checkbox.
- System:
- Tick the No auto-logoff checkbox.
- Tick the No auto-logoff checkbox.
- Supplier:

- Tick the Open checkbox.
- Tick the New checkbox.
- Tick the Edit checkbox.
- Promotions:
- Tick the Open checkbox.
Note: only for the Till/EPOS Administrator.
- Tick the Open checkbox.
- Customer Ret:
- Tick the New checkbox.
Note: to be used in conjunction with the Till/EPOS Administrator. This is required if the user will be processing returns or exchanges.
- Tick the New checkbox.
- Sales Invoice:
- Tick the Open checkbox.
Note: only for the Till/EPOS Administrator. - Tick the Issue checkbox.
- Tick the Open checkbox.
- Stock:
- Tick the Open checkbox.
Note: only for the Till/EPOS Administrator.
- Tick the Open checkbox.
- System Data:
- Tick the Open checkbox.
Note: only for the Till/EPOS Administrator.
- Tick the Open checkbox.
- Special:
- Tick the Auth card checkbox.
Note: only for the Till/EPOS Administrator. - Tick the Refunds checkbox.
Note: only for the Till/EPOS Administrator.
- Tick the Auth card checkbox.
Note: this password must be greater than four numbers / characters long with no sequence equal to or less than five.
