How To: Print the Trial Balance

Introduction

The Trial Balance provides a summary of all nominal account balances within your accounting period and is often used for reconciliation, period-end reviews and financial reporting.
You can print either:
  • The entire contents of the Trial Balance grid.
  • Only selected nominal accounts.

  1. Open an Accounts screen (show me how).
  2. If required, highlight specific nominal accounts using green selection.
If no rows are selected, the entire Trial Balance will be included in the report.
  3. Click the Print button on the toolbar.
  4. In the Print Dialog, adjust the print options as required.
  5. Click OK to generate the report.
The Trial Balance report will be displayed and can then be printed or saved using your chosen output options.

If you need more than a summary Trial Balance, Khaos Control also provides reports showing the underlying transactions.

Additional Information

The Trial Balance should always balance, meaning the total debits and total credits are equal.

  • Opening balance entries.
  • Nominal account mappings.
  • Imported accounting data.
Detailed reports can help identify discrepancies quickly.
