How To: Prohibit Saving a Purchase Order

To prevent a purchase order with an excessive value from being saved:

1. Open a Promotion screen (show me how).
2. Open the [ Telesale Rules ] tab.
3. Press Ctrl+N or click .
4. Type the Telesale Prompt title in the Short Description field.
5. Select the Purchase radio button.
6. Set the relevant criteria (order value, customer class, stock type, etc).
7. Type the relevant text in the Long Description field, for example 'this order has a value above the maximum of £1000'.
8. Tick the 'Prohibit Saving Order' box.
9. Press Ctrl+S or click to save once you have finished.
   

Note: this option works when a purchase order is created from the [ Purchase Order ] screen as well as the [ Stock | Reordering (Standard) ] screen.
