How To: Setup a Warehouse when using Sites
When using Warehouse functionality with sites you need to manually setup the following warehouses each with one multi-stock location:
- An ARRIVALS warehouse for each site, this must contain one Multi Stock location with the code ARRIVALS. The description can be defined by the user for example Arrivals Bay.
Note: this can be a location with the code of ARRIVALS in the main warehouse, however, this can make the loading of the main warehouse in the Perform Location Movements dialog slow. - A CRETURN warehouse for each site, this must contain one Multi Stock location with the code CRETURN. The description can be defined by the user for example Customer Return Bay.
Notes:
- The codes of the warehouses MUST be as they are above in bold.
- Location codes must be unique across sites, if using the standard aisle/bay/bin structure you may wish to prefix the location code with the site for example; Grantham warehouse codes start with a G and the Nottingham warehouse code start with N.
- When using sites and warehouse this may affect picking, see How To: Assign Stock from different Pick Locations and Picking Order.
