Creating an EPOS User
An EPOS user is used to process sales through the Electronic Point of Sale (EPOS) system. Before a user can log into EPOS, you must create the user account and assign the appropriate permissions.
Create the EPOS User
- Open a System Data screen (show me how).
- Double-click [ Others | Users ].
- Press Alt+E or click Edit to enter edit mode.
- Press F3 or click Add to create a new user.
- Enter the following information:
- User
Enter an appropriate username for the EPOS user. - Sales Source
Select the required Sales Source.For more information, see How To: Create and Apply an EPOS Sales Source to the EPOS Customer.
- Press Ctrl+S or click Save.
The EPOS user has now been created.
Configure User Permissions
Once the user has been created, assign the permissions required for EPOS operation.
- Select the EPOS user in the Users list.
- Right-click and select User Permissions.
- Configure the following permissions as required.
Supplier Permissions
Enable the following permission:

System Permissions
Enable the following permission:

| No Auto-Logoff | ✅ Ticked |
The No Auto-Logoff permission prevents the user from being automatically logged out due to inactivity, which is particularly useful for EPOS tills and shared retail workstations.
- Click OK to save the permissions.
Additional Information
- Each EPOS user should be assigned the appropriate Sales Source for reporting purposes.
- EPOS users are commonly configured with the No Auto-Logoff permission to ensure tills remain available throughout the trading day.
- Additional permissions can be assigned as required based on your business processes and security requirements.
