How To: Create a Stock Value Report

Stock Value Reports can be created from the [ Stock | List ] screen or from the [ Accounts | Stock Value ] sub-tabs:

The stock value reports created from the [ Stock | List ] screen report on your stock as at the date and time the report is created. Reports in the [ Accounts | Stock Value ] sub-tabs allow the user to define a date or date range.

Stock Value Report

The Stock Value Report lists all stock items along with details of their stock value.

  1. Open a Stock screen (show me how).
  2. In the [ Stock | List ] screen add any filters as required, for example Supplier.
  3. Right click in the grid and select Print then Stock Value Report.
  4. In the popup there are four options for configuring your report. To select the options you wish to use click on the blue button adjacent to it. The options are:
    1. Just report on items IN STOCK?
    2. Include OVERHEAD figure?
    3. Include "COS EXCLUDE" items? (i.e. include items that are stock controlled but do not post into the stock nominal account)
    4. Include System Warehouse (Quarantine, Returns)?
  5. Click on OK to display the report which can be printed or saved to file as required.

Stock Type Value Report

The Stock Type Value Report lists stock value by level 2 stock type.

  1. Open a Stock screen (show me how).
  2. In the [ Stock | List ] screen add any filters as required, for example Supplier.
  3. Right click in the grid and select Print then Stock Type Value Report....
  4. In the popup select as required:
    1. Yes to report on all stock items, or...
    2. No to report on just the items in stock.
  5. The report is displayed and can be printed or saved to file as required.

Accounts Stock Valuation

The stock value reports in the four sub tabs in the [ Accounts | Stock Value ] are run as follows::

  1. Open an Accounts screen (show me how).
  2. Open the [ Accounts | Stock Value ] screen and open the appropriate sub-tab:
  3. Update the filters as required for example date or date range.
  4. Press the Go button to populate the grid.
  5. To print the information returned either:
    1. Send to Notepad which allows the user to send all or only selected data in the Grid to Notepad for saving to external files, printing or importing into a spreadsheet program, or...
    2. Print Grid allows the user to display a report listing the information in the grid.
