Overview

The [ Stock | Sales / Purchase Orders ] tab summarises how the current stock item has been bought and sold. It contains two grids:

Filters

Note: the Go button must be pressed to populate the adjacent grid based on the date range selected.

  • Date From and Date To (Red Traffic Light Filter   /Green Traffic Light Filter   traffic light filter): both the Sales and Purchase Order grids may be filtered by date range traffic light filter.
  • Show Returns: tri-state checkbox (default=unticked): allows the user to:
    • a tri-state checkbox, set to the "ignore" setting Tri-State ignore: include customer or supplier returns.
    • a tri-state checkbox, set to the "on" setting. Tri-State on (yes): show only customer or supplier returns.
    • a tri-state checkbox, set to the "off" setting Tri-State off (no): exclude customer or supplier returns.
  • Show Confirmed Only checkbox (default=ticked) (Sales Orders Only): works in conjunction with the Context Menu options in the [ Sales Orders | List ] screen.

Sales Orders Grid

The Sales Orders (upper) grid will display the customers that have bought, or returned, the currently loaded stock item, along with details about the sales orders on which the stock item was purchased. The quantity columns show the quantity of stock that was sold, or returned; these columns are totalled at the bottom of the grid. This grid will be populated based on the date range specified (or if not then all results are returned) with Sales Orders or customer returns that include the currently selected item. The column headings are:

  • Customer
    • URN: the customer's URN.
    • Name: the customers' company name.
  • Sales Order
    • Code: the Sales Order, Credit Note or Return Credit number that the selected stock item is assigned to.
    • Type: the type of order, sales (S), customer return credit (RC) or exchange (RE).
    • Date: the Order Date against the Sales Order, Credit Note or Return Credit.
  • Quantities
    • Sold: the number of stock items that were sold or returned on the Sales Order or Customer return.
    • Assigned: the number of stock items that were assigned to that Sales Order or Credit Note.
    • Sent: the number of stock items that have been sent out, this is updated when the order is issued.
    • Pending: this figure displays the quantity of assigned and not sent stock on the Sales Order.
  • Prices
    • Net Unit: the net unit price of the item on the sales order.
    • Disc %: the discount applied to the item line on the sales order.
    • Unit Net Total: the net unit price multiplied by the quantity sold.
  • Status: is linked to the colour legend. 'Complete' is always highlighted in green and means that the Sales Order, Return Credit or Return Exchange has been Issued.
  • Stage: displays the stage that the stock items order is currently occupying within the Sales Invoice Manager.
  • Site: the site the sales order was sent from.


Note: this grid supports Grouping Ctrl+G

Context Menu

The following options can be found on the right-click context menu:

  • Goto Customer...: opens the Customer record [ Customer | Detail | General ] that the user is currently focused on.
  • Goto Sales Order...: opens the Sales Order [ Sales Order | Detail | Main ], Credit Note or Return Exchange that the user is currently focused on.
  • Colour Legend: opens a dialog providing information about the background colours.
  • Clear Selection: deselects the currently selected line(s).

Purchase Orders Grid

The Purchase Orders (lower) grid will display the suppliers that have sold you the currently loaded stock item, or who you have returned the stock item to, along with details about the purchase order, or supplier return on which the stock item was sold to you. This grid will be populated based on the date range specified (or if not then all results will be returned) with Purchase Orders, or supplier returns that included the currently selected item.

  • Supplier
    • URN: this is the Suppliers unique reference number.
    • Name: this is the Suppliers company name.
  • Purchase Order
    • Code: this is the Purchase Order or Supplier Return, number that the selected stock item occupies.
    • Type: the type of order, Purchase Order (PO) or Supplier Return (SR).
    • Date: this is the Order Date against the Purchase Order or Supplier Return.
  • Quantities
    • Bought: is the number of of stock items that were purchased on the Purchase Order.
    • Delivered: is the number of stock items that have been delivered from that Purchase Order.
      Note: if the Bought and Delivered cells do not match and the Status is Complete (whole line in black text) The Purchase Order | Delivery Note was marked Final Delivery.
  • Prices
    • Net Unit: the net unit buy price of the item on the purchase order.
    • Disc %: the percentage discount applied to the item on the purchase order line.
    • Unit Net Total: the Net Unit Price multiplied by the quantity on the purchase order line.
  • Status: is linked to the colour legend. Outstanding Purchase Orders/Deliveries will have a Status of Order Placed and Part delivery.
  • Site: the site the purchase order is due to be delivered to.

Notes:

  • Item that require Quality Checking will not be displayed or marked in any way. The user will need to go to the [ Delivery Note | List ] tab and search for Delivery Notes using the Stock Code filter.
  • This grid supports Grouping Ctrl+G
