Stock Web Categories Reports Tab

The Reports tab has the following three sub-tabs which help the user manage the web categories:

Note: the grids from these sub-tabs can be printed using Print Grid or Send to Notepad.

Stock Items / Categories Tab

This sub-tab lists all stock items on the system and the website and category they are listed in.
Notes:

  1. If the stock item is held in more than one website and more than one level it will be displayed on one line per category per website.
  2. To view the Short Description, Long Description and/or Web Teaser columns the user must select the Tree radio button in the filters area.
  3. If in edit mode and the Short, Long or Web Teaser fields are displayed then double-clicking on them allows the user to add or change the information in the Stock Category dialog, see How To: Edit Stock Short and Long Descriptions and Web Teasers from one screen.

The screen consists of the upper filters and the grid.

Stock Items / Categories Filters

Stock Web Categories Reports Tab filters
  • Go button: must be pressed to populate the grid.
  • Short Description checkbox: when ticked the grid will display three additional columns for the short description:
    • Stock: the short description as defined against the stock item in the [ Stock | Detail | Properties ] screen.
    • Category: the short description defined against a category in a web site.
    • Web Site: the short description defined against a web site.
  • Long Description checkbox: when ticked the grid will display three additional columns for the long description:
  • Web Teaser checkbox: when ticked the grid will display three additional columns for the web teaser:
  • Stock Code when ticked the grid will display three additional columns for the stock code.
  • Deleted (Discontinued / Publish to Web) Tri-state checkbox (default=grey): combines the Discontinued and Publish to Web flags, for example when ticked allows the user to view items that are both discontinued and not published to the web.
  • Object:
    • Original (default): will display the default column headings in the grid.
    • Tree: this radio button must be selected if the user wishes to view the Short Description, Long Description and/or Web Teaser columns.

Stock Items / Categories Grid

The following column headings are the default headings. If the user wishes to add column headings for the Short Description, Long Description and/or Web Teaser columns they will need to select the Tree radio button above and tick the checkbox adjacent to the option they wish to view. Double-clicking on a stock item in the grid while in edit mode allows the user to add or change the entries.

  • Sk Code: the stock code.
  • Sk Desc: the stock description.
  • Category: the website and category the stock item is held in.

Stock Items / Categories Context Menu

  • Goto Stock Item: opens the stock screen for the item currently focused on.
  • Clear Selection: deselects the currently selected line(s).

Empty Child Categories Tab

The Empty Child Categories sub-tab displays the categories that contain no stock items. The number of levels that the user wants to view is controlled by the spinner at the top.

Notes:

  1. The node levels are displayed starting from the furthest from the website node.
  2. Press the Go button to populate the grid.

Up/Cross Sell Not in Web Config

The Up/Cross Sell Not in Web Config screen lists all the up and cross sell items on your system and indicates if they are not in a web category, for example the parent item is listed but the cross sell item has not been added.

  • Sk Code: the child stock item the customer may like to order because they have ordered the parent stock item.
  • Parent Sk Code: the parent stock code (the one when added to a manual sales order will prompt the up/cross sell popup).
  • Category: the category the up/cross sell item is in.
    Note: if the item is in more than one category these will be listed on separate lines.
