How To: Assign a Profile to a User

- User profiles allow you to apply a predefined set of permissions and settings to one or more users. Using profiles can help ensure consistency across users who perform similar roles within Khaos Control.
Assign a Profile to a User
- Open the System Data screen (show me how).
- Double-click [ System Data | Others | Users ].
- Locate the user you want to update and select their Profile field.
- Press Alt + E or click Edit to enter edit mode.
- Press F4 to open the profile selection window.
- Select the profile you want to assign to the user.
- Click OK.
- Press Ctrl + S or click Save to apply the change.

- User profiles provide a quick way to apply common permission settings to multiple users.
- Assigning a profile can reduce the need to configure permissions individually for each user.
- Profiles can be changed at any time if a user's role or responsibilities change.
- The currently logged-in user can edit their own details, except for their username, provided they have permission to edit users.
