How To: Hyperlink to Courier Consignment Tracking websites

Introduction
If a courier provides an online parcel tracking service and the consignment reference is stored in Khaos Control, you can configure a tracking link for that courier.
Once configured, users can launch the courier's tracking page directly from Khaos Control. Tracking links can also be included in customer email templates, allowing customers to track their own deliveries from despatch notification emails.

How Courier Tracking Links Work
Tracking links use the special parameter:

When a tracking link is launched, Khaos Control automatically replaces
<REF> with the consignment reference recorded against the sales order.For example

Configuring a Courier Tracking Link
- Open a System Data screen (show me how).
- Open Courier / Shipping | Couriers.
- Press Alt+E or click Edit to enter edit mode.
- Locate the courier you want to configure.
- In the Hyperlink column, enter the courier's tracking URL and include the
<REF>parameter where the consignment reference should be inserted.

Using Courier Tracking
Once a tracking link has been configured and a consignment reference has been entered against a sales order:
- Open the relevant sales order or invoice.
- Locate the consignment reference.
- Right-click the consignment reference.
- Select Track Package.
Khaos Control will open the courier's tracking website and automatically replace the

Important Notes
- A tracking link will only work if both a courier hyperlink and a consignment reference have been configured.
- If no hyperlink has been defined for the courier, selecting Track Package will have no effect.
- If the consignment reference is blank, selecting Track Package will also have no effect.
- Courier tracking links can be included in customer despatch emails using your configured email templates, allowing customers to track deliveries without contacting your business.
