How To: Report on Returns

Introduction
Khaos Control provides reporting tools to help you analyse stock items that have been returned through the Returns process.
These reports can help you identify common return reasons, monitor product performance and review return trends across your business.
Available Reports
Sales Returns
The Sales Returns report produces a date-based summary of returns grouped by return reason. This can be used to review return activity during a specific period and identify common causes of returns.
Returns Analysis
The Returns Analysis report provides a detailed breakdown of returned stock items for a selected date range. The report includes:
- Returned stock items.
- Total sales value for each item during the selected period.
- Number of returns recorded during the same period.
- The percentage attributed to the most common return reason.
- Data for either the current site or all sites.
This report can help identify products with unusually high return rates and highlight recurring issues.
Running a Returns Report
- Open a Returns screen. For guidance, see How To: Open a Sales Returns Screen.
- Press F9 or select the drop-down arrow next to Other Actions.
- Select Print.
- Choose one of the following reports:
Sales Returns
- Select Sales Returns.
- Enter the required date range.
- Select OK to generate the report.
Returns Analysis
- Select Returns Analysis.
- Enter the required date range.
- Choose whether to report on:
- Yes - Current site only.
- No - All sites.
- Generate the report.
- Review the report on screen and print it if required.
Tips
- Use the Sales Returns report to identify trends in return reasons over time.
- Use Returns Analysis to compare return volumes against sales performance.
- Running reports regularly can help identify products that may require investigation due to unusually high return rates.
