How To: Manage Stock levels for communication to WooCommerce

WarningThis functionality is only available when Channels 2.0 is enabled.
Khaos Control allows you to control both:
- Which products are included in stock uploads to WooCommerce.
- How much of your available stock is displayed on your WooCommerce store.
This can be useful if you only want to publish selected products, or if you want to reduce the stock quantity displayed online to help prevent overselling.
Upload Stock for Selected Products Only
By default, stock updates can be sent for all products assigned to the channel. If required, you can limit uploads to specific stock items.
Steps
- Type chan into the Command Window.
- Double-click the required WooCommerce channel.
- Open the [ Channel | Detail | Stock ] tab.
- Press Alt + E or click Edit to enter edit mode.
- Change the Stock to Upload option to:Upload specified items only
- Click New above the Stock grid.
- In the Stock Lookup window, green-select the stock items you want to upload.
- Double-click the selected items to add them to the grid.
- Press Ctrl + S or click Save.
Result
Only the stock items listed in the Stock grid will be included in stock uploads to WooCommerce.
Control the Stock Quantity Displayed Online
Using Stock Profiles, you can determine what percentage of your actual stock holding is published to WooCommerce.
For example, if you hold 100 units in stock but set the upload percentage to 75%, WooCommerce will display 75 units as available.
Steps
- Type chan into the Command Window.
- Double-click the required WooCommerce channel.
- Open the [ Channel | Detail | Stock ] tab.
- Press Alt + E or click Edit.
- Click New above the Profiles grid.
- Enter a name for the new profile.
- In the Qty to Upload column, enter the percentage of stock you want uploaded.
Examples

| 50% | Half of available stock |
| 0% | No stock available |
- If required, tick Calc. Rel. Potential.
This option calculates the available stock quantity for Move With parent items based on the availability of their child items.
- Configure the Default option:
- Ticked: The profile applies to all products unless another profile has been assigned.
- Unticked: The profile must be manually assigned to stock items using the Profile column in the Stock grid.
- Select a Site if the profile should only apply to stock from a specific site.
- If required, configure barcode matching using the Stock Match Type column.
Press F4 to choose from the barcode types configured in System Data.
- Press Ctrl + S or click Save.
Example Configuration
A common setup is:

With this setup:
- Most products publish their full available stock.
- Specific products can be assigned the Reduced Stock profile and will only publish half of their available stock.
Additional Information
- Multiple profiles can be created for different stock strategies.
- Profiles can be assigned to individual products as required.
- Different sites can use different stock upload profiles.
- Stock percentages can help minimise the risk of overselling when stock levels change frequently.
- Barcode matching options can be configured separately for each profile.
