  • Which products are included in stock updates.
  • How much of your available stock is displayed on the website.
This can be useful if you only want to publish selected products, or if you wish to reduce the stock quantity shown online to help prevent overselling.

Use this option if only certain stock items should be updated on your WooCommerce store.

Steps

  1. Type chan into the Command Window.
  2. Double-click the required WooCommerce channel.
  3. Open the: [ Channels | Detail | Stock ] screen.
  4. Press Alt + E or click Edit to enter edit mode.
  5. Change the Stock to Upload setting to:
    Upload specified items only
  6. Click New above the Stock grid.
  7. From the Stock Lookup window:

    • Double-click the selected items to add them to the grid.
  8. Press Ctrl + S or click Save.

Only the stock items listed in the Stock grid will have their stock levels uploaded to WooCommerce.

Control the Quantity Shown Online

    • Ticked: The profile applies to all stock items unless a different profile is assigned.
    • Unticked: The profile must be assigned manually using the Profile column in the Stock grid.
  3. If required, select a Site in the Site column to restrict the profile to stock held at a specific site.
  4. Press Ctrl + S or click Save.

Example Setup

A typical configuration might be:

ProfileQty to UploadDefault
Standard Stock100%✓
Restricted Stock50%✗
In this example:
  • Most products show their full stock availability.
  • Selected products use the Restricted Stock profile and only show half of their available stock online.

Tips

  • Use different profiles for different product groups.
  • Keep a small stock buffer online by uploading a lower percentage than your actual stock.
  • Apply profiles to specific products when certain items require tighter stock control.
