How To: Write Off Stock from a Warehouse

Warehouse Location Control is an Advanced User feature. It contains complex, resource-intensive functionality and a decision to begin using it should therefore not be taken lightly.

Any stock to be written off from a warehouse must be quarantined beforehand, see How To: Quarantine Stock from a Warehouse Stock Location.

1. Open a Stock screen (show me how).
2. Load the stock item you wish to write off.
3. Note the quarantined amount in the stock totals area at the bottom right-hand side of the screen.
4. Press F9 or clicking the down arrow immediately to the right of the to open the 'Other Actions' menu. and select Write Off / Quarantine followed by Write-Off from Quarantine.
5. Enter the amount to write off in the popup.
6. Click OK.
7. Enter the write off reason in the next popup (Optional).
8. Click OK.

Notes:

1. This will only work up to the total amount of stock in Quarantine at the point of writing off.
2. The stock totals in the bottom right hand corner of the Stock Properties screen will have been updated.
