How To: Change Tax (VAT) Rates

Introduction
The Tax Rates screen allows you to maintain the tax rates used throughout Khaos Control.
You may need to update tax rates when legislation changes or when new rates are introduced. Any changes should be carefully checked before saving to ensure transactions are processed correctly.
Steps
- Open a System Data screen.
- Double-click [ Accounts | Tax Rates ].
- Enter edit mode by pressing Alt + E or clicking the Edit button.
- Locate the tax rate you want to update and enter the new percentage against the appropriate description.
- Review your changes to ensure the correct rate has been entered.
- Press Ctrl + S or click the Save button to save your changes.
Additional Information
- Changes to tax rates can affect future transactions throughout the system.
- Ensure the correct rate is entered against the correct tax description before saving.
- If multiple tax rates are in use, review all entries to confirm they remain accurate following any legislative changes.
