Page approved.

Users may wish to stop stock items being sold, for example an electrical lead that is only to be sold with a specific appliance. In Khaos Control this is achieved by either:

Sales Order Held

  1. Open a Stock screen (show me how).
  2. Go to the [ Stock | Detail | Options ] screen.
  3. Press Alt+E or click the green triangle icon is the buttonbar's EDIT button to enter edit mode.
  4. Tick the Sales Order Held checkbox.
  5. Press Ctrl+S or click the disk icon is the button bar's SAVE button    to save.

The effect of this would be that:

  1. If the user tries to add the item to a sales order a popup will be displayed stating that the stock item has been held and cannot be used on a Sales Order.
  2. The item will not be added to the Sales Order.

Telesales Prompt

  2. Goto the [ Promotion | Telesales Prompt ] tab.
  3. Press Ctrl+N or click the New item icon is the button bar's NEW button to create a Telesales Prompt with the following characteristics:.

    5. Tick the 'Prohibit Saving Order' options checkbox.
  4. Either:
    Or
    • Select the [ Trigger Types ] tab.
    • Press F3 or click the NEW ITEM button has an icon that shows two sheets of paper (identified by having the top right corner folded down), arranged diagonally on the icon from top left to bottom right   to add a new item. This would be useful if you had a stock type called, say, "Components not sold separately".
  5. Press Ctrl+S or click the disk icon is the button bar's SAVE button    to save changes to the telesales prompt.
Note: If the above brief instructions for creating a basic telesales prompt do not meet your needs, then more detail is available at How To: Setup a Telesales Prompt.

The effect of this would be that:

  1. When a user adds the item to a sales order a telesales prompt is displayed with the long description you have entered.
  2. The Sales Order cannot be saved until the child item has been removed manually from the order.
