Nominal Account Budget Dialog

The Nominal Account Budget dialog is available from the Accounts Other Actions Menu. This dialog enables the user to define a budget against a nominal for a specific month within a given financial year. The information can be displayed in the P&L showing the value, the amount in the budget and the difference between them. The costs can be amortised across definable budget periods allowing inclusion or exclusion of specific months in the amortisation.

The dialog consists of:

  • Go button: refreshes the grid.
  • Financial Year Ending: the year you are setting the budget up for.
  • Grid: displaying the nominals and the months for the year selected above.

  • Amortise: opens the Amortise dialog allowing the user to define the total amount to amortise across the selected months, the system will then add the monthly amortised breakdown across all the month columns in the grid:

    Note: the user must green-select the nominals they wish to add a budget to before using this option.
  • Apply Value Range: allows the user to specify a value that is to be applied to all of the currently selected rows/items for the current column.
  • Clear Selection: deselects the currently selected line(s).
