How To: Setup Packaging Waste
You can store the packaging waste per stock item in the [ Stock | Detail | Properties ]
tab along with the weight. Examples of packaging are:
- Cardboard/Paper
- Recycled Plastic
- Non-Recycled Plastic
- Fabric
The weight is entered up to 2 dp. These are stored in grammes and then used to be exported from Khaos Control so that wastage and packaging reporting can be submitted to the government. For more information please see Packaging Producer Responsibilities.
There are two steps to setting up packaging waste, the first is to define the different packaging in [ System Data | Packaging Waste ]
, then these can be used when adding the packaging to stock items.
Setting up Packaging Items in System Data
- Open a System Data screen .
- Open
[ Stock | Packaging Waste ]
- Press Alt+E or click to enter edit mode.
- Press F3 or click to add a new item.
- Enter the description of the packaging waste.
- Repeat as required.
- Press Ctrl+S or click to save your changes.
Updating Stock Items with Packaging Waste
- Open a Stock screen .
- Open the stock item you wish to define the packaging waste against.
- Press Alt+E or click to enter edit mode.
- In the Packaging Waste area of the
[ Properties ]
tab:- Click on the .
- In the Description F4 and select the type of waste.
- In the Weight column enter the weight in grammes up to 2dp.
- Repeat as required.
- Press Ctrl+S or click to save.
