Introduction
Courier Groups act as an intermediary between shipping methods received from websites, marketplaces and integrations, and the courier services configured in Khaos Control.
When an order is imported, Khaos Control uses the Courier Group to determine which courier service should be applied to the order. This allows different sales channels to use different shipping method names while still routing orders to the correct courier service.
For example, an order imported from Amazon with a shipping method of Standard Shipping can be matched to the appropriate courier service based on the Courier Group and the configured courier banding rules.
Why Use Courier Groups?
Courier Groups help standardise shipping methods across multiple sales channels.
Example 1: Weight-Based Courier Selection
An Amazon order may import with a shipping method of:
- Standard Shipping
Khaos Control evaluates the order against the Courier Group and any configured weight bands to determine the most appropriate courier service.
Example 2: Different Channel Names, Same Courier Service
Different marketplaces often use different names for similar delivery services:

Allows shipping methods received from websites and sales channels to be mapped to Courier Groups.
Sales Orders
Courier Groups are available on:
- Manually created sales orders
- Imported sales orders
- Marketplace orders from channels such as Amazon and eBay

Choose descriptions that reflect the shipping services used by your websites, marketplaces and courier integrations.

Allows you to apply the same value to all selected rows within the active column.
Clear Selection
Removes the current selection from the grid.
