System Data Link Stock / Packaging


Introduction

The Link Stock / Packaging screen allows you to associate specific stock items with specific packaging items.

Once configured, Khaos Control can automatically select the appropriate packaging item when an order is packed, helping to improve packing accuracy and streamline warehouse processes.

This feature is used during packing and requires packing to be enabled within the Sales Invoice Manager.

Prerequisites

Enable Packing

Packing must be enabled within the Sales Invoice Manager before these settings will be used.

Create Packaging Stock Items

Packaging items must be configured as stock records and have the Packaging Item option ticked on the:

How It Works

When a linked stock item is included on an order, Khaos Control can automatically assign the specified packaging item during the packing process.
This ensures that the correct box, carton, envelope or other packaging type is used for the product being packed.
You can also define the maximum quantity of the item that should be packed into the selected packaging item.

Stock Code

The stock code of the item that will be linked to a packaging item.

Stock Description

The description of the stock item being associated with a packaging item.

Packaging

Select the packaging stock item that should be used when packing the linked stock item.
Only stock records configured as Packaging Items are available for selection.

Auto Pack Qty

Defines the maximum quantity of the stock item that can be packed into the selected packaging item.
This value is used by Khaos Control when determining suitable packaging during the packing process.

Apply Value Range

Use Apply Value Range to apply the same value to all selected records within the active column.

Clear Selection

Removes the selection from the currently highlighted row or rows.
