024530: Changes to MyDHL

This is available in 8.236 onward.

1.    Overview

KCSL have added support to the ‘Hide Child Items’ courier configuration option for MyDHL.

2.    Specification

Changes that KCSL have made:

Added support to "Hide Child Items" for the myDHL integration.

Modify the myDHL export of data if option is ticked so no child items are included.

Calculations around parent / child items during the export will not be modified as part of this development and will remain as they currently are.

Caveat:

1. By using this courier option, this will apply to ALL packs will only export the parent item, and none of the child items.

2. Value Properties of the child items will not be summed or applied to the parent item.

3. We recommend weights are only attributed to the physical child items, not the move with parent items.

4. This option is being applied to the designated myDHL integration only. As couriers do not process information universally consistent manner, this development change is limited to this specific courier integration only.

5. It means attributing suitable commodity codes to pack parents is important otherwise this information will not be included in the resulting export.

3.    Configuration

An updated application and courier files will be provided as part of this application.

The new option must be enabled/disabled in the configuration of your MyDHL courier as required.

To do so:

  1. Go to [ System Data | Couriers ].
  2. Right-click on the MyDHL courier you wish to edit.
  3. Click ‘Configure…’.
  4. Scroll until you find the option ‘Hide Child Items’.
  5. Tick this to hide child items and untick to show child items.
  6. Click OK to save your changes.

4.    Usage

After applying the above Configuration, typical steps for usage would include:

  1. Set your MyDHL courier to ‘Hide Child Items’ by following the configuration section above.
  2. Create a SO with a move-with item.
  3. Set the courier to your MyDHL courier.
  4. Process through SIM to the Shipping stage.
  5. Confirm Shipment as usual.
  6. Assign to courier as usual.
  7. Only the pack parent information will have been exported to MyDHL.
