024727: Changes to SIM location range filter



1.               Overview

 

KCSL have made changes to allow the ‘Location Range Start’ and ‘location Range End’ filters to work with alphanumeric characters.

Note that this option is not enabled by default. Please email Development for more information.

 

2.           2.     Specification

 

Modifications to ‘SIM | Filters | Location Range’ to allow the filter to work with alphanumeric characters. 

Added new custom location filter specifically targeting locations with the naming scheme:

“AA-Rnn-Bnn-Snn-Lnn”

An update and a changelog will be applied as part of this development. No further configuration is

After applying the above Configuration, typical steps for usage would include the following.

Example Location data visualization

 

SIM | Filters | Location Range examples.

a.       Location start: PP-R010-B01-S01-L01, Location End PP-R010-B01-S01-L10. Will return everything between PP-R010-B01-S01-L01 through to L10

 

b.       Location Start PP-R010-B01-S03-L01, Location End PP-R010-B01-S06-L01. Will return all ‘L’ locations between PP-R010-B01-S03 & S06

 

c.       Location start PP-R010-B01, location End PP-R010-B01. Will return all ‘S’ & ‘L’ locations under from PP-R010-B01
