024992 Adding new field to [ Stock | 4. Reordering | 1.Reordering(Standard) ]

1.               Overview

 

KCSL have made 3 new columns available in the [ Stock | 4. Reordering | 1.Reordering (Standard) ] screen to include sales within the last 3 yearly periods.

Note that this functionality is not enabled by default. Please email Development for more information

2.         2.    Specification

Changes that KCSL will make:

Adding 3 new columns to [ Stock | 4. Reordering | 1.Reordering(Standard) ]

Column 1 shows how many sold in the last 12 months

Column 2 shows how many have been sold in the last 24 months (excluding the last 12 months)

Column 3 shows how many have been sold in the last 36 months (excluding the last 24 months).

Sold Section should be calculated based on stock that has been sold (issued to the accounts).

New grid fields will be hidden by default. Only load the data if the grid columns are visible. Columns can be shown via configure grid to help prevent performance issues.

New system values for how far back to look when calculating each column  - default to 365 days.

 

3.               Configuration

An update and a changelog will be applied as part of this development. Further configuration set ups are as follows.

 

3.1 Displaying the 3 new columns.

The 3 new columns can be unhidden via the grid [ Green down arrow | Configure Grid ] options.



3.2 Period lengths.

By default, the length of each period is 365 days.

If a change is required then it can be done by changing the hidden SYSTEM_VALUES_NEW field called REORDER_STD_SALES_PERIOD


4.         4.    Usage

After applying the above Configuration, typical steps for usage would include the following.

 

When using the [ Stock | 4. Reordering | 1.Reordering (Standard) ] screen, the 3 new columns can display the quantity of each item sold in each period.

By default, Period 0 will be those issued within the last 365 days.

Period 1 will be those issued within the 365 days before Period 0.

Period 2 will be those issued within the 365 days before Period 1.
