025044 Adding stock type and new flag to Invoice rules

1.               Overview

KCSL have enhanced the Sales Invoice Manager ‘Invoice Rules’ to include ‘Stock Type’ and an option to ‘Prevent Release’.

2.           2.     Specification

Additional criteria have been added in Invoice rules to add stock type in the invoice rule criteria and a new tick box of "do not allow to get passed picking". The new tick box will be based on individual invoice rules and if ticked, if Invoice fits in that criteria, you will not be able to move it passed the picking stage.

Changes that KCSL have made:

Will Add Stock type level 2 as an option in [ SIM | Invoice Rules ].

The filter will be based if stock type level 2 exists in the invoice, it will be moved.

Add a new tick box for "Prevent Release". If the rule is set to put an invoice in a manual hold stage and the new tick box is ticked, then when trying to release the invoice check whether the rule still applies: if it does, then prevent the invoice being released.

This will prevent invoices moving into staging and moving past staging. "manually released stayed released" will be overwritten by this tick box.

3.               Configuration

An update will be applied as part of this development. The SIM ‘Invoice Rules’ can then be configured as required.

This development has added the ‘Stock Type’ option and the ‘Prevent Release’ tick box.

‘Stock Type’                        A rule with this setting will apply only for orders containing a stock item of this type.

‘Prevent Release’             When ticked a rule will prevent an order within a manual hold stage from being released.

1.           4.     Usage

After applying the above Configuration, typical steps for usage would include the following.

A typical way that the invoice rule might be used is as in ‘Figure 1’.

An order including at least 1 item of stock item of stock type ‘N/A’, when created or edited will move to the [ Manual Hold | Prescriptions – Human] stage.

It will then also be prevented from being released with the indication.
