How To: Adjust Stock using Legacy HHTs


Handheld Terminals (HHT) is not enabled by default.
Training must be completed before using the Handheld Terminals (HHT) functionality.

Note: there will be additional costs involved if this option is enabled.

Before you can use the stock adjustments in the HHT you must setup the adjustment reasons.

Setting up the Adjustment Reasons

  1. Open a System Data screen (show me how).
  2. Open the [ System Data | Stock | Adjustment Reasons ] screen.
  3. Press Alt+E or click the green triangle icon is the buttonbar's EDIT button to enter edit mode.
  4. Press F3 or click the NEW ITEM button has an icon that shows two sheets of paper (identified by having the top right corner folded down), arranged diagonally on the icon from top left to bottom right to add a new item.
    1. Reason Code: the code given to the reason.
    2. Reason Description: the name of the adjustment reason, for example; stock damaged, water damage etc.
  5. Press Ctrl+S or click the disk icon is the button bar's SAVE button to save.

Adjusting stock using HHT

  1. Log on to the HHT interface.
  2. Enter the user's password.
  3. Press Enter or click on the Login button.
    Note: you can setup user badges with the user's password as a barcode which they can then scan instead of having to type in their password.
  4. Click on the HHT GUI adjust stock icon button.
  5. Select the required Adjustment Reason from the selection drop down and click on the HHT Next button button.
  6. Scan the location barcode or enter the location code manually and press Enter
  7. Scan the stock item barcode or enter the stock item code manually and press Enter
  8. Enter the required new quantity and Enter or click on the HHT Next button button.
  9. Select OK on the confirmation screen.
