Create an EPOS Utility Price List
It is recommended that you create an EPOS price list, even if you do not currently use alternative pricing. Having a dedicated EPOS price list allows you to update prices for promotions, sales events or temporary pricing changes without affecting the standard sell price of your stock items.
This approach provides greater flexibility and makes it easier to prepare pricing changes in advance.

Create an EPOS Utility Price List

  1. Open a System Data screen (show me how).
  2. Go to [ Sales Order Processing | Price Lists ].
  3. Enter edit mode.
  4. Create a new price list.
  5. In the Description field, enter a name such as EPOS Utility.
  6. Save the new price list.
  7. Go to [ Company | Company Classes ].
  8. Enter edit mode.
  9. Locate the new Price Lists classification you have created, for example EPOS Utility.
  10. Tick the Restrict DDs option.
  11. Save your changes.

Using the EPOS Utility Price List

The EPOS Utility Price List is particularly useful when preparing temporary pricing changes, such as seasonal promotions, sales events or special offers.
For example, if you need to update hundreds of prices for an upcoming sale, you can make all of the changes in the utility price list in advance without affecting your live EPOS pricing. When the promotion is ready to begin, simply copy the utility price list into your main EPOS price list.
This allows you to prepare pricing changes well ahead of time and activate them when required.

Removing Promotional Prices from the EPOS Price List

Once a sale or promotion has ended, you can remove the promotional pricing from the main EPOS price list.
  1. Open a Promotion screen (show me how).
  2. Open either:
    • [ Promotions | Price Lists | Stock Item / Price List ], or
    • [ Promotions | Price Lists | Stock Type / Price List ].
  3. Select the main EPOS price list from the dropdown list.
  4. Enter edit mode.
  5. Select the stock lines you want to remove.
  6. Delete the selected lines.
  7. If multiple lines are selected, click Yes to confirm the deletion.
  8. Save your changes.
