How To: Print a Stock Bar Code Book

Introduction
The Stock Bar Code Book report allows you to print barcodes for selected stock items. This can be useful for creating barcode reference books for warehouse, retail or stock management purposes.
You can choose whether the barcode is generated from the stock code, another reference field or an existing barcode stored against the stock item.
Print a Stock Bar Code Book
- Open a Stock screen.
- Green-select the stock items you want to include in the barcode book.
- Right-click and select Print | Stock Bar Code Book from the context menu.
- Choose which field the barcode should be based on:
- Stock Code
- Other Ref
- Barcode Table
- Click OK.
- The Stock Bar Code Book report will be generated and displayed.
- Print the report using your preferred printer settings.
Barcode Source Options
Stock Code
Generates barcodes using the stock code assigned to each item.
Other Ref
Generates barcodes using the value held in the item's Other Ref field.
Barcode Table
Generates barcodes using barcode values stored within the stock item's barcode table.
Additional Information
The Stock Bar Code Book can be used to produce printed barcode references for:
- Warehouse picking and packing.
- Retail environments.
- Stock identification.
- Product labelling.
- Internal barcode reference guides.
Before printing, ensure the selected stock items contain valid barcode information in the field you intend to use. This will help ensure barcodes are generated correctly and can be scanned successfully.
