How To: Un-hide Columns in a Grid

Warning: You must have Admin permission to make changes to grid layouts for user profiles.

Many Khaos Control screens contain columns that are hidden by default. If you need to view additional information, you can unhide individual columns using the Grid Configuration options.

Unhide a Column

1. Open the Khaos Control screen that contains the grid you want to modify.
2. Open the Grid Menu.
3. Select Configure Grid.
4. In the Edit Profile For drop-down list, choose whether the change should apply to:
   • The current user only, or
   • A specific user profile.
5. In the Grid Area, click the column you want to unhide.

   Note: Columns can only be unhidden one at a time.

6. Untick the Hide Column checkbox.
7. Click OK to save the grid profile and close the configuration window.

Result

The selected column will now be visible in the grid.

Reset a Grid Layout

If you need to revert your changes, you can reset the grid layout at any time using:

• Reset to Profile - restores the saved profile settings.
• Reset to Default - restores the standard Khaos Control grid layout.

Tips

• Unhiding columns can provide access to additional reporting and operational information without changing the underlying data.
• If multiple users need to see the same columns, update the appropriate user profile rather than changing individual user settings.
• Review grid layouts periodically to ensure users only see the information they need.
