Manufacturers
Introduction
The Manufacturers screen contains a list of manufacturers that can be associated with stock items in Khaos Control.
Recording manufacturer information allows you to store key contact details and assign nominal accounts where required. Once a manufacturer has been linked to stock items, products from the same manufacturer can be viewed from the Others tab within the Up/Cross Sell Dialog.
Manufacturers are selected against stock items in the [ Stock | Detail | Properties ] tab.
Manufacturers Grid
Company Name
Enter the name of the manufacturer.
This is the name that will be available for selection on stock records.
Telephone
Enter the manufacturer's main contact telephone number.
This can be used for supplier enquiries, product support or other manufacturer-related communications.
Enter the manufacturer's primary email address.
Web Site
Enter the manufacturer's website address.
This can be useful for accessing product information, catalogues, technical specifications or support resources.
Nominal Postings
Sale Nominal
Links the manufacturer to a sales nominal account.
Note: The sales nominal account must already exist before it can be selected here.
Purchase Nominal
Links the manufacturer to a purchase nominal account.
Note: The purchase nominal account must already exist before it can be selected here.
Manufacturers Context Menu
Apply Value Range
Use Apply Value Range to apply the same value to all selected records within the active column.
Clear Selection
Removes the selection from the currently highlighted row or rows.

Maintaining accurate manufacturer information can help improve stock management and reporting by providing a central location for manufacturer details and accounting associations.
