How To: Enter Customer Specific Notes

It is possible to have notes specific to a customer appear on their documents, for example Invoice Notes and Statement Notes. To do this:

  1. Open a Customer screen (show me how).
  2. Load the required customer record.
  3. Open the [ Detail | CRM | Free Text Notes ] tab.
  4. Press Alt+E or click the green triangle icon is the buttonbar's EDIT button to enter edit mode.
  5. Click the NEW ITEM button has an icon that shows two sheets of paper (identified by having the top right corner folded down), arranged diagonally on the icon from top left to bottom right or press F3 to add a new item.
  6. Enter free text notes in the required field:
    • General Customer Notes
    • Delivery Note/Picking List Note
    • Invoice Note
    • Statement Note
  7. Press Ctrl+S or click the disk icon is the button bar's SAVE button to save the record.

Note: the notes support rich text (including Unicode symbols, emoji's and foreign characters).
