How To: Import listings from eBay with the Out of Stock Control option specified
eBay has changed the way stock is managed once the level reaches 0, behaving more like Amazon. The Out Of Stock Control option has become more important when dealing with variation listings, especially as eBay now allows stock items with a level of 0, to show as inactive, as opposed to de-listing them.
For this option to work you must enable the Out Of Stock Control on your eBay account: My Account > Site Preferences. Khaos Control needs to be configured so that it matches the behaviour which eBay expects. This is done as follows:
- Open a Web Configuration screen .
- Open the
[ Stock | Channel Setup ]
tab. - Press Alt+E or click to enter edit mode.
- In the Options area update the: Out Of Stock Control checkbox as follows:
- TICKED: when true, Khaos Control will mimic the stock level upload to send a stock level of 0 and to mark the listing as inactive, i.e. currently not available. This also means that all future imported listings from eBay will be created with the 'Out Of Stock Control' option enabled against the listing.
- UNTICKED: when false, Khaos Control will send a de-list request to eBay for the item, so the item will no longer be listed on eBay.
- TICKED: when true, Khaos Control will mimic the stock level upload to send a stock level of 0 and to mark the listing as inactive, i.e. currently not available. This also means that all future imported listings from eBay will be created with the 'Out Of Stock Control' option enabled against the listing.
- Press Ctrl+S or click to save.
