How To: Understand Worldship error messages
Table Of Contents
During normal shipping processing, your courier software imports and processes the export file created by Khaos Control when Assign to Courier is used in the Sales Invoice Manager Shipping stage.
Once the file has been processed successfully, the courier software should automatically delete the export file.
Error Message
You may encounter the following message:
Export file for user id already exists.Order has not been processed in worldship. Please process before continuing.
Why This Happens
This error usually indicates that a previously exported courier file still exists and has not been processed successfully by the courier software.
Common causes include:
- An incompatible courier service being selected for the destination region.
- Invalid shipment details preventing the record from being imported.
- The courier software failing to complete processing.
- A previously exported file remaining in the export folder.
Because the file still exists, the courier software prevents a new export from being created for the same user.
Resolution
- Locate the export file that was created by Khaos Control.
- Rename the file to prevent the courier software from recognising it as the active export.
- Return to Khaos Control.
- Repeat the Assign to Courier process.
- Allow Khaos Control to generate a fresh export file.
Additional Checks
If the problem continues:
- Verify that the selected courier service is valid for the destination country or region.
- Review any warnings displayed by the courier software.
- Confirm that the export file is being removed after successful processing.
- Check that the courier software can access the export directory.
