How To: Update the Title and Description for Re-listed Items when using Legacy Channels
If items have been re-listed their status is Queued For Verification and they can't be edited in the [ Channel Listings | Listings | Details ] screen. If you need to update the short and/or long descriptions before re-listing then the following procedure needs to be followed:
- Open a Web Configuration screen.
- Open the
[ Channel Listings | Listings ]screen. - Select the listings you wish to update.
- Right click and from the context menu select Stop Auto Listing Selected.
- Click on OK.
- The listing status has changed to Waiting Approval.
- Double-click on the stock item to load the
[ Channel Listings | Listings | Details ]screen. - The title and description will have been updated.
- Press Alt+E or click
to enter edit mode. - Tick the Auto List Verified checkbox.
- Make any other changes.
- Press Ctrl+S or click
to save the listing.
Where can the Short and Long Descriptions be updated?
Stock Short and Long Descriptions can be updated in the following screens:
- The stock short description in
[ Stock | Detail | Properties ]tab. - The stock long description in the
[ Stock | Detail | Telesales / Internet | Primary ]tab. - Against the whole eBay Channel in the Website/Stock Description fields in the Web Categories Categories screen.
- Against the specified eBay Category in the Category/Stock Description fields in the Web Categories Categories screen.
