Image Types
Introduction
Image Types allow you to categorise images attached to stock items. This makes it easier to identify the purpose of each image and helps maintain consistency across your product records.
Image Types are used within the Stock | Detail | Internet / Telesales screen. When adding images to a stock item, you can select an Image Type from an F4 lookup list populated by the types defined here.
Image Types Grid
Image Type Description
Enter a descriptive name for the image type.
Examples include:
- Brochure
- Thumbnail
- Low Resolution
- High Resolution
- Product Image
- Technical Drawing
- Lifestyle Image
Using clear image type descriptions can help users quickly identify the correct image for a website, catalogue, marketplace or marketing material.
Context Menu Options
Apply Value Range
Allows you to apply the same value to all currently selected rows within the active column.

Clear Selection
Removes the current selection from any highlighted rows.
Supported Image Formats
Khaos Control supports the following image formats:
- .PNG
- .JPG
Important: Khaos Control does not support CMYK JPEG images. If an image has been saved in CMYK colour mode, convert it to RGB before importing it into Khaos Control.
Best Practice
- Use consistent Image Type names across your system.
- Create separate Image Types for different purposes, such as web images, brochures and high-resolution downloads.
- Use meaningful descriptions so users can quickly identify the correct image when maintaining stock records.
- Check that image files are saved in a supported format before uploading.
