Packaging Waste
Introduction
The Packaging Waste screen allows you to define the different types of packaging materials used by your business, such as cardboard, paper and plastic.
These packaging waste types can then be recorded against stock items in the [ Stock | Detail | Properties ] tab, alongside product weight information.
Packaging waste values are stored in grams and can be exported from Khaos Control to support packaging waste reporting and compliance requirements.

Description
Enter the name of the packaging material type.
Examples include:

Use clear and consistent descriptions to make reporting easier and improve data accuracy.

Apply Value Range
Use Apply Value Range to apply the same value to all selected records within the active column.
Clear Selection
Removes the selection from the currently highlighted row or rows.

Once packaging waste types have been created, they can be assigned to stock items and used to record the amount of packaging associated with each product.
To ensure accurate reporting:
- Record packaging waste in grams.
- Use consistent packaging categories across all products.
