How To: Change a Users Password

User passwords can be updated by a user with permission to manage system users. This can be useful when resetting a forgotten password or requiring a user to create a new password at their next login.

Change a User Password

  1. Open a System Data screen (show me how).
  2. Double-click [ System Data | Others | Users ].
  3. Locate the required user.
  4. Right-click the user and select Edit User Permissions.
  5. Choose one of the following options:
    • Enter a new password by typing over the existing password.
    • Tick User must change password at next login if you want the user to create their own password when they next sign in.
  6. Click OK to save the changes.
