How To: Map a Harmonisation Code to a Stock Type


Introduction

Linking Harmonisation Codes (HS Codes) to Level 2 Stock Types helps simplify HS Code selection when maintaining stock records.
Once configured, users will only be presented with the Harmonisation Codes associated with the selected stock type, making it quicker and easier to assign the correct code to stock items while reducing the chance of selecting the wrong one.

Adding a Harmonisation Code to a Stock Type

  1. Open a System Data screen (show me how).
  2. Press Alt+E or click Edit to enter edit mode.
  3. Press F3 or click Add to create a new association.
  4. In the Stock Type column, press F4 and select the Level 2 Stock Type you want to associate with a Harmonisation Code.
  5. In the Harmonisation Code column, press F4 and select the Harmonisation Code that should be available for the selected stock type.
  6. Repeat steps 4 to 6 to add additional associations as required.
  7. Press Ctrl+S or click Save to save your changes.
