How To: Setup CRM Contact Types
CRM Contact Types are used when adding entries to the Communication Log in the following areas:
- Contact Type column in the
[ Customer / Supplier | Detail | CRM | Communication Log ]
screen. - Contact Type column in the
[ CRM Manager | Comm Log ]
screen. - Contact Type in the
[ List Manager | List ]
tab using the button. - CRM Type drop down when adding an entry in the
[ Sales Orders | Detail | CRM | Comm Log ]
grid. - CRM Type drop down in the Comm Log Entry dialog accessed in the system by pressing Ctrl+ Shift+C.
- Open a System Data screen .
- Open the
[ Comm Log Types ]
screen. - Press Alt+E or click to enter edit mode.
- Press F3 or click to add a new item.
- Enter the description for the contact type in the CRM Contact Type, for example call, appointment, catalogue request etc.
- Enter a number in the Display Order. This is used to define the order in which the list of Comm Log Types is displayed in the CRM Type dropdown in the Comm Log Entry dialog.
- Press Ctrl+S or click to save.
