How To: View and Edit Existing Sales Orders
There are a number of ways in which a user can view and edit existing Sales Orders:
From the Sales Order Screen
- Open a Sales Order screen.
- Use the filters at the top of the screen to locate the order.
- Double click on the order to open it.
-  Press Alt+E or click  to enter edit mode. to enter edit mode.- Note: If the order is in a non-editable stage of the Sales Invoice manager the following error message will be displayed:
 "The Sales Order has an invoice which is in a non-editable section."
 You will need to manually move the sales order into an editable stage if you wish to edit it.
 
- Note: If the order is in a non-editable stage of the Sales Invoice manager the following error message will be displayed:
-  Edit the sales order, for example to add an item:-  Press F3 or click  to add a new item. to add a new item.
- Use the filters to locate the stock item.
- Double click on the stock item to add it to the Sales Order grid.
 
-  Press F3 or click 
-  To delete an item:- Focus on the line to remove.
-  Press Ctrl+Del or click  to delete the selected item. to delete the selected item.
 
- When you have finished editing...
-  Press Ctrl+S or click  to save the Sales Order. to save the Sales Order.
From the Customer Screen
- Open a Customer screen.
- Locate the customer record you are interested in.
-  Go to the [ Customer | Detail | Customer Service | Sales Orders/Invoices ]screen and set the date filter as required.
- Right click and select 'Goto Sales Order' from the grid's right-click context menu.
-  Press Alt+E or click  to enter edit mode. to enter edit mode.- Note: If the order is in a non-editable stage of the Sales Invoice manager the following error message will be displayed:
 "The Sales Order has an invoice which is in a non-editable section."
 You will need to manually move the sales order into an editable stage if you wish to edit it.

- Double click on the stock item to add it to the Sales Order grid.

- When you have finished editing...
-  Press Ctrl+S or click  to save the Sales Order. to save the Sales Order.
When creating a New Sales Order
- Open a Sales Order screen.
-  Press Ctrl+N or click  . .
- Use the filters to locate the required customer.
- Double-click on the customer.
-  The Existing Order(s) for Customer Dialog is displayed. This lists incomplete sales orders for the selected customer, allowing you the opportunity of editing them instead of creating a new sales order. - Note: Should a customer NOT have a sales order in an editable stage, then the 'Existing Order(s) for Customer' dialog box will NOT be displayed when a new sales order is created.
 
- To view a sales order in edit mode, double-click on the sales order in the popup grid.
-  The sales order will open in Edit mode.- Note: If the order is in a non-editable stage of the Sales Invoice manager the following error message will be displayed:
 "The Sales Order has an invoice which is in a non-editable section."
 You will need to manually move the sales order into an editable stage if you wish to edit it.

- When you have finished editing...
-  Press Ctrl+S or click  to save the Sales Order. to save the Sales Order.
