How To: Ensure that the Stock Description on Imported Sales Orders is the description on Khaos Control

Channel Listings is an Advanced User feature.
When importing sales orders from a channel, Khaos Control can either use:
- The product description from the channel listing, or
- The stock description held against the product in Khaos Control.
Enabling Import Override Stock Description ensures that imported sales order lines use the description stored in Khaos Control, helping maintain consistency across orders, invoices and reporting.
Enable Import Override Stock Description
- Open the Web Configuration screen (show me how).
- Open the [ Channel Setup ] tab.
- Press Alt+E or click Edit to enter edit mode.
- Select the channel you want to update.
- In the options section at the bottom-left of the screen, tick:
- Press Ctrl+S or click Save.
Result
Sales orders imported through the supported channel import process will use the stock description stored in Khaos Control rather than the description held against the marketplace or channel listing.
This can help ensure:
- Consistent product descriptions across orders.
- Accurate invoice and delivery note descriptions.
- Better reporting and stock analysis.
Important Note
The Import Override Stock Description option is not used when sales orders are imported through:
- [ Sales Orders | Other Actions Menu ] imports.
- Automated imports from [ Stock | Channel Listings | Listings ].
In these cases, the stock description from the channel listing will be used instead of the Khaos Control stock description.

- Marketplace titles are heavily optimised for SEO and are not suitable for invoices.
