How To: Search for or View Customer by Email Address or Telephone Number

You can view and search for customers or suppliers by email address or telephone number as follows:

[ CRM Manager | Contacts ] for both email and telephone number.
[ Email Manager | List ] for email addresses for customers who have been sent or have a pending email.
[ List Manager | List ] for both email and telephone number.

Both email addresses and telephone numbers are displayed in the [ CRM Manager | Contacts ] screen.

Open a CRM Manager screen (show me how).
Open the [ Contacts ] tab.
Enter the complete or part phone number (office or mobile) or email address in the relevant field, for example 01476 to display all Grantham telephone numbers or @hotmail.com to find all hotmail email addresses.
Turn the traffic light filter to green to display the results.

To search for a customer or supplier by email address.
Note: they must have been sent an email by the system or have an email pending.

Open an Email Manager screen (show me how).
Tick the Display Sent Emails if an email has been sent to the company (Optional).
Update the date range (Optional).
Press the Go button.
Click on the button (located to the right of the date range) to open the additional filters area.
Enter the complete email address or part email address.
Note: if using the part email address you will need to use a wildcard, for example %@hotmail.com to find all hotmail email addresses.
Turn the traffic light filter to green.
Press the Go button.

This option requires a list to be created beforehand, see The List Manager.

Open a List Manager screen (show me how).
Open the List tab.
Focus on the folder in the left-hand pane that you wish to open.
Select any filters required, for example Data Protection, the type of contact and the type of email address.
Click on the Go button.
The email address and telephone number will be displayed in the grid.
