System Data Stock Location Kind

Location Kinds are used when Warehouse Control is enabled in Khaos Control.
They allow you to define the different types of storage locations used within your warehouse, such as:
- Pallet
- Cold Store
- Safe
- Single
- Double
- Multi
Once created, these location types can be selected in the Stock Location Kind field within the Warehouse Management screen.
Location Kind Grid
The screen contains a simple grid used to maintain the available warehouse location types.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Location Kind | The type of warehouse location, for example Pallet, Cold Store, Safe, Single, Double or Multi. |
Location Kind Grid Context Menu
Right-click within the grid to access the following options:
Apply Value Range
Allows you to apply the same value to all currently selected rows within the active column.

Clear Selection
Removes the current selection from any highlighted rows in the grid.

- Location Kinds are only available when Warehouse Control is enabled.
- The values defined here become available for selection throughout Warehouse Management.
- Using clear and consistent location types can help improve warehouse organisation and stock location reporting.
- Common examples include storage method classifications, security requirements and stock handling requirements.
