The Import One-Stop Shop (IOSS) is the electronic method of submitting your VAT e-commerce obligations on distance sales of ALL goods imported into the EU. If this applies to your business and you have read and understood the implications of enabling IOSS on your system as explained on EU VAT Import One-Stop Shop (IOSS), this page explains the steps you need to set IOSS up in Khaos Control. How and where you setup your IOSS will affect the information your couriers are sent.

Enabling IOSS in System Values

  1. Open System Operations [ System Values | General | Your Company ] tab.
  2. At the bottom of the dialog, Tick the Europe Opt-in IOSS scheme checkbox.
  3. Add your company IOSS number in the field below.
  4. Open the [ System Values | Accounts | Europe ] tab.
  5. Ensure the Advanced EU VAT options checkbox is ticked.
    Notes:
    • Please do not change these options without consulting with a Tax Expert.
    • The settings below should be:
      • EU VAT Threshold of €150.
      • B2C VAT over EU threshold should be ticked.
      • B2B VAT over EU threshold should be ticked.
  6. Click OK and restart Khaos Control.

Country Specific VAT

For any EU member country you plan on shipping to or are registered to pay VAT in, you must setup and configure Country Specific VAT, see How To: Setup Country Specific VAT. You will need to configure rates for those countries, the rates can be setup against stock items, or you can specify one "default" rate per country.

  1. Open [ System Operations | Edit System Values | Accounts - Sales ].
  2. Tick the option Country Specific VAT.
  3. Click OK.
  4. Close and restart Khaos Control.
  5. Open a System Data screen (show me how).
  6. Open the [ International | Countries ] screen.
  7. Add your VAT Rates per country, see How To: Setup Country Specific VAT.
  8. Press Alt+E or click the green triangle icon is the buttonbar's EDIT button to enter edit mode.
  9. Tick the '"Enable Country VAT"'.
  10. In the VAT Number column on the far right add your EU VAT Number for any EU Member country in which you are registered for VAT.
  11. Press Ctrl+S or click the disk icon is the button bar's SAVE button    to save.

Channels

You will need to add your channel specific IOSS number and indicate whether the channel will be paying the VAT on your behalf.

Channels 1.0

  1. Open a Web Configuration screen (show me how).
  2. Open the [ Stock | Channel Setup ] tab.
  3. Press Alt+E or click the green triangle icon is the buttonbar's EDIT button to enter edit mode.
  4. In the Options checkboxes, scroll to the bottom and tick the '"External Marketplace"' checkbox.
  5. In the Sales Order section add your IOSS number.
  6. Press Ctrl+S or click the disk icon is the button bar's SAVE button    to save.

Channels 2.0

  1. Open a Channels Screen by typing 'chan' in the Command Window.
  2. Select the channel you wish to update.
  3. Go to the [ Channel | Detail | Setup ] screen.
  4. Enter the EDIT ITEM button has an icon that shows a green triangle.   Edit Mode.
  5. In the Import Options area:
    1. Add your IOSS number.
    2. Tick the External Marketplace checkbox.
  6. Press Ctrl+S or click the disk icon is the button bar's SAVE button    to save.

Brands

It is possible to set the IOSS number against a brand. To do this:

  1. Open a System Data screen (show me how).
  2. Double click on the [ Sales Order Processing | Branding ] line.
  3. Press Alt+E or click the green triangle icon is the buttonbar's EDIT button to enter edit mode.
  4. Against the brand, add the IOSS number in the IOSS Number column.
  5. Press Ctrl+S or click the disk icon is the button bar's SAVE button    to save.
